Depending on the performance issues you are addressing, you can use
one from Performance Gap Analysis, and Performance Opportunity Analysis
or you can use both.
Performance Analysis Paths
The general approach to performance analysis is similar for analyzing
both performance gaps and opportunities. Both paths use a logical, objective
method for gathering, analyzing, and applying relevant data. However,
the specific steps and activities vary to some degree. The diagram below
illustrates the two paths. We provide tools to guide you through each
phase. The close-ups on the following pages describe each phase and
its supporting tool in greater detail.
